Worry no more, for this apple peeler can be run by batteries, as well as the AC supply, so you can carry it along with you to any outdoor events and peel your apples even when you are outside. ![]() The robotized arm of the peeler peels the apple very fast, making it ready to be eaten or to be processed further for cooking or to be used in your favorite apple dessert. This avoids the risk of contamination from handling the apples with unclean hands, as well as keep your hands safe from accidental cuts. The peeler has spikes that provide a firm and secure hold on the apple’s top and bottom, which means you won’t have to use your hands to hold it while the apple is being peeled. ![]() The base of the peeler is also slip-resistant which means you can confidently use it on kitchen tables without having to worry about it slipping off the corners or having to hold it down to stabilize it while it is in use. The body is made of ABS plastic, which is durable and a better choice compared to metallic bodies if you want to avoid metal bodies that have a risk of rusting with time. ![]() The first single 'Give It Away' gave them their first no.1 on the Alternative Rock Charts and it peaked inside the top 75 of the US Hot 100. ![]() In addition, they had producer Rick Rubin on board. To balance the wing I need to add a front splitter, but that’s something that’s still on the To-Do List to this day. The DJ Racecars single element wing I sourced from .uk (run by well-known aero expert Simon McBeath from Racecar Engineering mag) certainly make some real downforce, 200 lbs of it at 100 mph to be precise. The side skirts should help prevent air from getting under the sides of the car and disrupting the low-pressure area beneath it, while the rear diffuser probably isn’t functional but does match the rest of the kit nicely. These are no longer in production, but I literally got the last rear diffuser in stock through Mazda Motorsport’s excellent support program, as well as one of the last sets of side skirts. Since I already had a Mazdaspeed front bumper on the car, it made sense to add the matching side skirts and rear diffuser. Wanting to go even faster, like any racer would, next I turned my attention to aerodynamics. I even had a few competitors and spectators asking if the 8 was boosted, which is, of course, the question everyone wants to be asked when kicking ass in a naturally-aspirated car. Still, the RX-8 performed fantastically and definitely attracted some attention with how quick it was, posting a best lap of 1:20.4 on a fresh set of Hankook Ventus TD semi-slicks. Ironically, my STX legal Moton Clubsport dampers were deemed illegal for CSCS Street RWD class competition because of the remote reservoirs, so I had to run it in SuperStreet class against far more powerful and highly modified machines. And by that I mean some local Time Attack events with CSCS, since the project had now morphed into a Time Attack focused one (where engine rules are wide open, so our built Renesis would fit right in). Because Jeff and I street tuned the motor, we never actually got an official dyno number on it, but it felt strong on the street and the throttle response was just insane because of the lightened rotors, lightweight flywheel, and lighter clutch assembly (all of which Joe had professionally balanced for safety and reliability at the 10,500 RPM the Racing Beat lightened rotors are rated for). Jeff from MazdaManiac and I played his online game of “you send me log files from wide-open throttle pulls on the street and I’ll send you fresh Cobb AccessPORT calibrations” for a few weeks as we snuck up on a nice, clean tune and then we were off to the races. ![]() After that it was a simple matter of breaking the engine in (meaning not beating the piss out of it for a couple thousand kilometres of street driving, but varying the RPM so the seals and Goopy refurbished housings make a nice high-compression love match) and then tuning the ECU. Come springtime the freshly built engine was in, along with some supporting mods like a Mazdaspeed lightweight flywheel, race pulley set, and Bully Stage 4 clutch kit. With a low compression motor to deal with and no STX restrictions to limit the build, the only reasonable decision was to build the most powerful naturally-aspirated Renesis engine we possibly could, right? And build it strong enough so that we could throw some boost at it too if we wanted, right? Of course! So off she went to Joe’s shop for a teardown while I started reaching out to rotary experts like Mazdaspeed, Racing Beat and Goopy Performance for the parts we’d need to make some sweet rotary jam. He’s that hustler, from whatever industry, who will do anything to get ahead. Somehow, Rex gets us to root for Mikey to turn toward the light, even as we know he just can’t. We watch with fascinated horror as Mikey builds his life back by selling marijuana to the locals, and just as Lexi starts to believe in him again, he falls for an underage waitress (Suzanna Son) at a local donut shop. It’s a two-hour-and-eight-minute movie, and Rex commands the screen for two hours and five minutes, carrying the film on his shoulders from the opening sequence, when Mikey arrives in town with only the shirt on his back and somehow cajoles his resistant ex, Lexi (Bree Elrod), to let him stay with her and her mom (Brenda Deiss) in rural Texas. Less than a year later, “Red Rocket” was invited to the official competition in Cannes. (They heard about it after wrap.) “I could tell from his movies, he operates from the heart, and he’s an empath,” Rex said. ![]() With no time to prep or even think about what he was doing, Rex committed to the role and put his trust in Baker, who asked him not to involve his reps. ![]() ![]() I need you here immediately.” The movie started shooting in Texas three days later. And I would never get this opportunity.”Ģ024 Oscars: Best Original Song Predictions Otherwise, I was going to keep disappearing. “I knew before I even read the script, I was in no position to turn down the Sean Baker movie, no matter what the content of the film was,” Rex said in an interview. Baker was ready to shoot “ Red Rocket” (December 10, A24), his follow-up to “The Florida Project” (which landed a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Willem Dafoe), and wanted Rex to read for down-on-his-luck porn star Mikey Saber. On October 23, 2020, the former MTV VJ heard from Sean Baker, a director he did not know, who wanted Rex to send in an iPhone audition for the lead role in his upcoming movie. Along with his various Dirt Nasty appearances, he filmed the 2009 failed TV pilot "Rex" and later learned to stick to his strengths, mainly lowbrow humor, returning to the "Scary Movie" fold for "Scary Movie V" (2013).How did a former New York model who gave what Gus Van Sant once called “one of the worst auditions I’ve ever seen” start winning breakout actor prizes at age 47? For Simon Rex, it entailed sinking his life savings into a property in the desert in Joshua Tree and contemplating flipping houses for a living. As his screen career stalled, Rex created the rapping alter ego of Dirt Nasty and began to build a cult following after the release of his self-titled debut album in 2007. In 2003, he was featured in his first major Hollywood film, the hit horror-spoof sequel "Scary Movie 3," and he reprised his role in "Scary Movie 4" (2006). Garnering attention for his model-like appearance and laidback persona, Rex eventually shifted to acting, appearing as a regular on the sitcom "Jack & Jill" (WB, 1999-2001) and in a guest stint on the drama "Felicity" (WB, 1998-2002). A few years later, he resurfaced as an MTV personality. Conventionally handsome, Rex exploited his youthful appearance in a pair of solo pornographic films, and this gave him a taste for being in front of the camera. Known to MTV viewers of the mid-1990s as a popular VJ, Simon Rex went on to become an actor and a rapper. ![]() Depending on which layer you're on, you can use this tool to move the entire content of that specific layer around on the picture. This tool is ideal for spriting using this program. The name is self explanatory, as you use it to erase things. This is the main tool you'll be using, as it is the drawing tool. I'm going to go through each tool from top to bottom, describing what they are and what they're called. These are what you'll use to do different things to manipulate and add or remove from the image. So, let's get started! In the screenshot below, there is a list of tools. I'll use this as a chance to teach you how the tools work, what the tools do, and how to use them. Now, I'm already currently working on a picture, but I only have the sketch done. To make it a lot easier on yourself, change the option from Centimeters to Pixels. Originally, the size always went by Pixels, rather than Centimeters or Percentage. If you need to, though, you can use those preset sizes as a reference to how big you need your canvas. Those are just preset sizes in case you can't think of a good size. You can change that if you want, but if you need to change it during drawing, you can always change the size again. I always keep my preset image size to 1200x1600. Further along the mouth of the Bay of Fundy in St. The Glooscap Trail, named for the Micmac Indian God, follows the shoreline of Chignecto Bay, the Minas Channel, the Minas Basin, and Cobequid Bay, where long stretches of mud flats are exposed during low tides and where curious backward waves called tidal bores occur during the rise. During periods of high winds and a full moon, some Bay of Fu ndy tides have risen above 15 metres. The record variance between high and low has been measured as 16.5 metres in Burncoat Headon the Minas Basin. The rise and fall are 6, 9, and often 12 metres in some places. Twice a day, 115 billion tones of water move in and out of the 257 km/160 mi long v-shaped pocket of seawater. The tides in Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy are the highest in the world. It is estimated that for the Fundy Tides, there may be as many as two hundred different factors that all in some way influence the timing and heights of tides. The timing of this cycle creates a rhythmic rocking or "sloshing effect" to the water in the Bay, which amplifies the tides to such unusual heights. The entire trip takes about thirteen hours, by which time the moon is ready for another pull. However, for the Bay of Fundy Region, two other principal factors (geographical shape and tidal resonance) change these two-metre tides to the world record-breaking sixteen-metre and above variety. The ocean's pull by the celestial bodies at the mouth of the funnel-shaped Bay of Fundy creates a wave of water that continues to double up on itself as it travels to the Bay's head and then falls back. Sometimes this figure can be higher if there is a celestial alignment which would combine the gravitational influence of these bodies on the Earth. ![]() Although the gravitational pull on the Earth, particularly by the moon, is strong, it is not enough to actually lift water, but it can significantly influence its direction of flow, thus creating ocean tides.Īlong the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, ocean tides account for a general rise and fall of from 1 to 2 metres. This is so because those areas are tipped closest and farthest away from these celestial bodies. They exert their gravitational influence in relatively narrow bands around the Earth at about 45 degrees north and south latitude. The initial cause of tidal action is the pull or attraction on the world's oceans by the moon, sun, planets and stars. Each phase of the cycle takes approximately 5 hours and 40 minutes. At this poin t, the tide floods and ebbs over 3.2 kilometres (2 miles) of tidal flat from the low water mark to the head of the ha rbour. Parrsboro, the lar gest seaport on the Minas Basin, gives the best view of this tidal phenomenon.
