MRI findings are similar to those with MS and NMOSD, but there may be some differences. Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody associated disease (MOG-AD) is a CNS demyelinating disease, typically presenting with optic neuritis, transverse myelitis, and/or ADEM-like syndromes. There appears to be no overlap between individuals with anti-MOG positivity and AQP-4 positivity, although there have been some isolated cases reported using the older ELISA assay. 2 Those with persistent detection of anti-MOG may be more likely to have a relapsing rather than monophasic disease course. Unlike anti-AQP4 antibodies, anti-MOG antibodies may decrease over time, and may not be detectable early in the disease process or during remission, and this is especially the case for MOG antibody disease associated ADEM. Approximately 80 of patients fulfilling 2006 Wingerchuk criteria for neuromyelitis optica are seropositive for aquaporin-4 (AQP4)-IgG. 2 CSF analysis from a lumbar puncture may show increased white blood cell counts in some patients during a relapse, and oligoclonal bands are not usually found. Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG)-IgG with an NMO spectrum disorder like phenotype is now recognized as a sensitive and specific diagnostic antibody biomarker of inflammatory demyelinating disorders (IDDs). Only cell-based assays are considered reliable for the diagnosis of MOGAD because of the improved specificity over older ELISA tests. There are blood tests that can test for MOG antibodies. Joe’s Mayo Clinic testing for the NMO antibody came back negative however, his testing journey continued. Connect With SRNA and Request Materials.

Go to settings and you'll see a series of tabs, each containing dozens of available options. Firefox will ask for using uBlock in private browsing mode. You can use any of them, but not all at once, as it negatively affects the performance of the browser. The list is small, but 3 ad blockers are available here: the already familiar AdGuard, the famous uBlock Origin, and the privacy-oriented Ghostery. Then open a browser and select Add-ons in the settings. Download and install Firefox for Android from the Play Market if you don't already have it. Method 4: Browsers with built-in ad blockingĪnd in the end, the most interesting way to block ads. When you first start you will be shown two very "helpful" tips, but it's better than nothing. The second is the creation of a local VPN connection, which I mentioned earlier - you need it. The first question in Quick mode is about using ad blocker on an HTTPS connection, skip it for now. These options can be changed later in the settings. If you are not sure of your needs, leave it “as is”. Thorough setup is a questionnaire where you choose whether you want to block ads in web search results, hide social widgets, site notifications, and more. There are two options: quick and detailed filter settings. Click “Go to Products” and here we are on Adguard's site, where you can download the full version of their ad blocker for Android. Next, the app shows the explanation to us why any full-fledged ad blockers are not available in the Play Store. Select Yandex Browser or Samsung Internet Browser if you use one of them. And as you can see, on the start screen, it can work only with two browsers. Find it in the Play Market, install and run. There is a third option to block ads on Android – use an adblocker application, most of which use the local VPN server - another way to filter ads from your traffic. If you have it disabled or in an automatic mode, select the "Custom" or "Private" option.
Looking at them side by side, like I do all the time, I can clearly see, without any hesitation, there's a difference - so can anyone else looking at them. It's like saying all cars, from all manufacturers use the same engine under the hood. well that is just even harder to believe. The technology, even between Marcum units, and comparing between the 485 and the 825 are quite different requiring different processing and a different screen to provide the difference in performance and resolution. My camera is not as sturdily made, wire is a lot thinner, but I can deal with that. A young fellow we fish with has the 715C and I find that we have the same picture quality. I think what someone is paying for is the display. I was researching and read an article about a guy who examined various cameras only to discover that they were pretty much the same (same motherboard in camera), and that it was the displays that varied widely. I have a cheap EYOYO camera that we bought for 200 bucks. I have an older 710 that only works well shallower. I also have noticed quite a few whitefish will come in if you bounce it and stir up the bottom a bit. I also like that if a pike or burbot come in and you don't feel like catching and releasing one you can pull the hook away until they leave. Other times I jig it a bit and raise it as I am jigging it they will sometimes chase it up and take it. Jigging will often cause them to turn away but if you just drop it to the bottom and leave it alone they often come back and pick it up. You can often trigger a bite by jigging and raising it and they sometimes chase it and strikeįor walleye, sometimes they will come in slow and just look at your bait. Introducing the Aqua-Vu 715c - the most affordable underwater camera ever built Like all 700 series Aqua-Vu cameras, the 715c features a 7. There are lots of times they will suck in the bait and spit it out and without the camera you wouldn't even know. Very subtle movements can make a big difference. For perch you can really find what triggers a bite and what doesn't. It has a 50' cord and I've been at maximum depth at Slave Lake and it works good until the sun starts to go down. Plus I believe the higher end models come with longer cables, only a 50 footer with the 485. How does the 825 compare to the 485 as far as daylight viewing outside of a shack? I've been pretty happy with the 485 as it's mostly been something to keep the kids entertained but it would be handy to have something that's easier to see in the daylight to scope out weedlines and such. In clear lakes, yeah, the 825 seems to see further and is sharper, but the 485c or the 715 are just fine and definitely work quite well enough. is it worth it? really hard to say because most of the time if the lake is cloudy, it's cloudy and you are not getting more than a few feet of visibility. The 825c Marcum does stand out from both and is clearer in all conditions, however that's an upgrade with a price to match. the lake is the biggest factor in any camera's performance and, as others have noted, the difference between the Aquaview 715 and 485c Marcum is indescribable side by side. Compatible with all Aqua-Vu underwater viewing systems.I have 2 Marcums, a 485x and a 825c - the 825c is definitely a little sharper, and definitely better in low light.īUT I agree. Many amateurs freely share their excitement about science with local teachers and students through such programs as Project ASTRO, which links astronomers with 4th through 9th grade teachers and classes in 10 sites around the country.Īstronomy offers the possibility of discovery. The AmericanĪstronomical Society has formed a working group to foster partnering between professional and amateur astronomers. Telescope and magazine sales suggest that nearly 300,000 citizens take some active interest in amateur astronomy. Astronomy is one of the few sciences in which amateurs by the tens of thousands have formed active organizations (e.g., the Planetary Society, with membership exceeding 130,000), and many amateurs make significant scientific contributions to such fields as the monitoring of variable stars and measuring positions of moving objects. Many nonscientists have astronomy as a lifelong avocation. Images of deep-sky objects convey the beauty of the universe, even to those who are too young to understand their context or implications.Īstronomy is a participatory science. Much of astronomy is visual and can be appreciated for its aesthetic appeal as well as its illustrative power. Easily observed astronomical events have formed the basis for time keeping, navigation, and myths or sagas in cultures around the world. The motions of astronomical objects determine the day-night cycle, the seasons of the year, the tides, the timing of eclipses, and the visibility of comets and meteor showers. Just look up! Who has not looked at the night sky and wondered at the panoply of stars there? We are all aware of the motion of the Sun through the sky during the day and the changing phases of the Moon at night. A few reminders serve to illustrate the potential of astronomy to advance public science education goals.Īstronomy is all around us. In combination, these qualities make astronomy a valuable tool for raising pubic awareness of science, and for introducing scientific concepts and the process of scientific thinking to students at all levels. Astronomy encompasses the full range of natural phenomena-from the physics of invisible elementary particles, to the nature of space and time, to biology-thus providing a powerful framework for illustrating the unity of natural phenomena and the evolution of scientific paradigms to explain them. The boldness of our collective efforts to comprehend the universe inspires us, while the dimensions of space and time humble us. The beauty of the night sky and its rhythms are at once stunning and compelling. As a community of citizens fortunate to live in a society that supports them generously, astronomers believe strongly that “from those to whom much is given, much is asked.” It is in that spirit that the committee offers below an accounting of astronomy’s more tangible contributions to broader societal goals.Īstronomy excites the imagination. Exploring frontiers of unimaginable mystery and beauty, astronomy speaks compellingly to these fundamental questions.Īs researchers, astronomers experience the excitement of discovery most vividly and are the first to glimpse new answers to ancient questions. Perhaps the most persuasive, but least quantifiable, justifications lie in the importance American society has always attached to exploring new frontiers, and in the deep human desire to understand how we came to be, the kind of universe we live in, whether we are alone, and what our ultimate fate will be. To take these next steps will require significant investments of both imagination and public resources.īecause the magnitude of these investments will be large, it is fair to ask why astronomical research should merit such support. Astronomers stand poised to examine the epoch when galaxies similar to our Milky Way first took form, to image Earth-like planets beyond our solar system, and to learn whether some show evidence of life. In the decades ahead, the pace of discovery-remarkable as it has been over the past-will accelerate. These startling advances are the result not only of the collective creative efforts of scientists and engineers throughout the United States and around the world, but also of the generous investments in astronomy over much of the past 50 years by federal and state governments, foundations, and individuals. Astronomical discoveries of the past decade-images of the hot universe at an epoch before the first galaxies and stars emerged, of other solar systems beginning to take form, of planetary systems beyond our own-have captured the imagination of scientists and citizens alike. First is the P250, which makes 246 horsepower and comes in the base and First Edition models. The Evoque is powered by one of two versions of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder and comes standard with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Secondly, going with the R-Dynamic SE versus the R-Dynamic S adds features such as a power liftgate, the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system, 14-way power-adjustable front seats, automatic high-beam headlamps with auto-leveling, LED daytime running lights, and 20-inch wheels. First of all, it comes with the P300-the more powerful of the two available powertrains-that uses a state-of-the-art 48-volt hybrid system to make extra power. The complaining engine and bothersome road noise of older Evoques is banished, decisively. We'd go with the mid-range R-Dynamic SE model for a number of reasons. It’s well-served by the new platform and its additional sound deadening. JLR’s Ingenium is a solid four-banger, with a refined voice and ready torque throughout its powerband. This new design supposedly lets the engine react more swiftly to right-pedal commands. Reengineered mounts let the engine nestle much lower, in line with the vehicle’s roll axis Rover engineers say the old four-banger actually swung in the engine bay under acceleration, forcing them to counter it with compromised gearbox tuning that dampened engine response. For either transverse-mounted engine, a new driveline disconnect system can power front wheels exclusively to save fuel, or divert torque for four-wheel grip. These Evoques will be powered exclusively by Jaguar Land Rover’s turbocharged, 2.0-liter four, in a choice of two strengths: 246 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque in starter models or pricier, mild-hybrid R-Dynamic versions with 296 horses and 295 pound-feet. A new, independent Integral Link design suspends the rear. The new platform, which shares only door hinges with the departing model, gets a MacPherson strut front suspension, with fluid-filled bushings to sooth steering-column vibrations. Front door pockets now hold 1.5-liter bottles, and the center console, with its twin sliding armrests, is notably enlarged. Total cargo space jumps to 50.5 cubic feet with the 40/20/40 split rear seats folded-not far off the mark of the much-larger Audi Q5, though about 20 percent less than the spacious BMW X3. Cargo space behind rear seats grows by 6 percent, to 21.5 cubic feet. As ever, there’s just enough room for two good-sized adults, with the panoramic sunroof impinging a bit on headspace. The Evoque’s wheelbase does grow by 0.8 inches, which affords a skosh more rear kneeroom, and more foot space thanks to higher mounting points for front seats. Because of the Rover’s tall height and stance, including 8.3 inches of ground clearance (nearly matching a Jeep Cherokee), you might not realize that it’s actually shorter from bumper to bumper than a subcompact Audi Q3 or Mercedes GLA-Class, and up to 14 inches shorter than “compact” SUV’s like the Audi Q5, Mercedes GLC or BMW X3. The Evoque’s exterior footprint is virtually unchanged, stretching just over 172 inches in overall length. Fill each jar full to the bottom of the neck with the apricot/water mixture.Line up your canning jars and fill each jar with ½ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. You don't want to push the apricots through once it stops coming through easily - too much puree will cause your nectar to look brownish. Keep pushing the apricots through the sieve until they are no longer glossy and wet looking (puree will stop dropping from the sieve as you stir). Run the apricot/water mixture through a sieve, pushing the apricots through with a spoon, collecting the puree and liquid in a large bowl.Let simmer for ½ hour, or until the apricots are super soft and completely broken down. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to medium. Place apricots and water in a large stock pot. Cover and bring to a boil while you make the nectar. Fill a large canning pot ⅔ of the way full with hot water.Scroll past the recipe for more pictures! Watch for a cake coming soon that uses apricot nectar as well…in a way you wouldn’t expect. The nice thing about having apricot nectar around is that you can use it for other things – apricot syrup for pancakes?! Yes. Or, you can add a little water to it before drinking (it’s a bit thick!). We love to drink our nectar over a glass of ice (let it sit for 10 minutes to get really cold and a little bit thinner). Just make sure that the jars are completely covered with boiling water when you process them. If you use smaller jars, a regular sized stock pot will work. Well, that is if you’re putting it in quart sized jars like I did. You do need to have a very large stock pot to can nectar. Maybe I’ll have to hide it so that it lasts more than a month. My kids are obsessed (looks like the apricot doesn’t fall far from the tree, ya feel me?). I now have 7 gallon of nectar stashed away in my pantry. Like all canning, it’s a little bit time consuming. I’m weird, remember?) but I do love apricot nectar. I don’t care for apricots when they are eaten plain (it’s a texture thing. Once I realized this, apricot nectar sprang right back into my mind, almost instantly. Judging by the leaves alone, I should have known it was a fruit tree. It also turns out that my junior year of high school botany did not serve me well. Turns out it was an apricot tree, after all. This spring, the tree that sat in the middle of our peach trees and was completely void of flower or fruit the previous year was suddenly full of white blossoms. Until the second spring we spent in our home. It totally left all corners of my memory. As the years have passed and children have taken over my life (and brain cells) I somehow forgot about apricot nectar (in all fairness, they do store it on the bottom shelve of every store I’ve ever been to. When I was a teenager/young adult I would buy the big cans of apricot nectar at the grocery store and pour it over ice as a special treat. With the Deferred and Future Observables, we have streams that are both re-usable and re-buildable. With a broadcast stream, you can listen to the stream as many times as you need but once the stream is closed, it can't be reopened. With a normal stream, you may only listen to the stream a single time. These types of Streams are perfect for the data that is inside of our BLoC because the data is a single event. In the new BLoC, we use both deferred and future based observables. In this pattern, we are able to selectively update and change the widgets that need dynamic information while minimizing the rebuilding of widgets that do not. Our second BloC Provider appears further down the tree and it can only give its associated BLoC to widgets that are directly below it on the tree. This provider can give the state of the BLoC to any of the widgets below it on the tree. The first BloC Provider is in the root widget. If our widget tree looks like the diagram above, we have two separate BLoC providers. Not only does this make the code more modular but it also allows us to inject the BLoC into areas of the application where it is needed. In the interest of separating the concerns of our application, it makes sense to create a second BLoC structure to handle the serving of the application metadata to the user. In the last tutorial, we used it to serve the main contributions to the user interface. The Business Logic Component pattern is very flexible. Adding Multiple BLoCs to a Single Flutter Application The drawer uses the package information library and the GitHub releases API both of which get served through a second BLoC structure.
